EBT SNAP Now Accepted for Online Orders at Save Mart Companies in California
Save Mart Companies, which includes banners like Save Mart, Lucky California, Lucky, and FoodMaxx, has enabled EBT SNAP for online grocery delivery and pickup across California. This makes Save Mart the first retailer in Northern California to offer EBT SNAP online, part of an initiative to expand access to federal benefit payments for eligible residents.
In collaboration with Instacart, EBT SNAP is now accessible across Save Mart’s California locations, enhancing the grocery shopping experience for those relying on food assistance. Instacart’s expansion of EBT SNAP payment integration also includes Publix and Price Chopper/Market 32, increasing availability significantly across various states.
To use EBT SNAP through Instacart, customers must create a profile on the platform and enter their EBT food card information. This payment method allows for transactions involving EBT-eligible products, while a secondary form of payment will be necessary for non-food items such as taxes and tips, in accordance with federal SNAP guidelines.
California residents can now enjoy the convenience of shopping online for groceries while utilizing their SNAP benefits, making it easier to access healthy food options. Once customers add items to their cart, they can specify the amount of their benefits they wish to use for the order, with options for same-day delivery or scheduled pickup.
This significant move by Save Mart Companies reflects a growing trend of grocery retailers expanding their EBT SNAP acceptance, helping to alleviate food insecurity and improve access to nutritious food for low-income families in California.
